Seer Torshi Recipe (Pickled Garlic)

Hello everybody and welcome back

As some of you guys know, I moved from California to Texas last month; and I decided to make Seer Torshi (Pickled Garlic) as a memory of our new house.

Seer Torshi is one of the popular pickles from Iran. You can eat this pickled as a side dish.

There are hundreds of recipes online, but I would like to show you guys how I make it; so if you are ready, let’s get started.

WHAT YOU NEED: Jars, vinegar, garlic, salt, and sugar

Wash the jar and heat them before the use (I used my dishwasher).

Cut garlic’s roots and peel some the loose skins. Don’t peel all of them, Leave few layers behind. Since we are using the skin, wash all the garlic until all the dusts are removed. Leave them out. Let them dry a little bit.

Place the garlic in the jar
Mix a cup of vinegar with one tea spoon salt and sugar

If your jar is not full, add vinegar the full the bottle.

Add the date, so you can remember when you made it.

Place the jars somewhere dark and wait for few months/years. YES! you heard me right. You cannot eat this pickle right away; the more you wait, it will be more tasty. When it is ready, the garlic becomes soft and the color will change to dark brown. Before you eat it, don’t forget to peel the garlic.

I hope you enjoyed the recipe, until next time….Bye.

In this post, I would like to talk review this Shu Uemura Anti/Oxi+ cleansing oil.

I have an oily/combination skin (depending on the season), and for me adding extra oils to my face was nerve racking 😂 But then, I saw Korean YouTubers mostly use cleansing oils to remove their makeup in their videos, so I decided to give it a try.

According to Shu Uemura website, this cleansing oil is made of 3 green trio and they are green tea, moringa, and papaya extract. You can learn about each ingredient by clicking here. They explained everything under description.

HOW TO USE: Add few pumps to you dry/wet hands then gently rub your face until all your makeup is meltdown; then rinse your face with water. My skin feels so soft, clean, and fresh after I use this cleansing oil.

I can’t tell you guys how it works with waterproof makeup because I don’t you waterproof makeup; but I can say that this product it will erase all the makeup including mascara. After using this product, my skin feels really soft.

If you are using, or ended up using this product, please let me know how it worked with your skin.

You can purchase this product either on Shu Uemura’s website by clicking HERE.

How to Deal With Your Period Cramps

Hi guys.

In this post I would like to give you guys tips on how to deal with your painful cramps on your periods 😑

I know…this subject is really personal; but cramps are NOT fun at all. Don’t get me wrong, PERIODS in general are not fun, but when you add those cramps to it…OMG!!!!

Long time ago I heard that when you age, your cramps will get better, but that is not my case. EVERY month I face bad cramps and low blood pressure; however, after all these years, I learned a few tips on how to manage those awful cramps.

In total, I have five tips that are really helpful to me. If you are interested, please keep on reading.

  • If you are having a set date for your periods, you are really lucky; if you are like me and have no idea when your period starts, I suggest you to download apps that track your cycle. I have been using “P tracker” for many years. You add the dates on the app and it will show you how many days are left to your next cycle. I am pretty sure the app does more, but I only use it to track my cycles 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • When you know your date, you can take some pain pills, such as Advil, Aleve, or ibuprofen before your period starts. That helps you with the pain. When I start doing that, I don’t feel the cramps that much, and when I forget to do so…..GOD knows how bad are my cramps 😫

(I am not a doctor, so PLEASE if you are young, ask your parents for permission for taking pills).

  • Keep your stomach warm/hot. Hot patches, such as ThermaCare are really good. It doesn’t matter if it is summer, or winter. They just help me with my cramps. I know there are some brands out there that are only advertised for period cramps, but I am sure any hot patch will help you that. They can get pricy, but If you are on the go, they are you best friend.

If you are staying home, you can use those electric Heating Pads.

Hot Water Bottle are another option, but I try to avoid it as much as I can because they smell like plastic (I only use them if the other options are not available to me).

Another thing that you guys can do is to use your pets as your heating source 😅 sometimes I do that 😅🤷🏻‍♀️ it helps 😑😅

  • I mentioned before that I am Iranian, so chai nabat “tea and rock candy” is a most for me when I am having a low blood pressure and cramps. I heard caffeine is not good because they cause more pain, but somehow sweet tea helps with my blood pressure and cramps.
  • My last tip for you is to keep praying that your pains go away as soon as possible 😅 that is literally what I do 🙈🤷🏻‍♀️😂 and be thankful for those days that you don’t have cramps 😑.

I have one more tips for you guys, but it is not a pain related. Some of you guys might don’t know this, but brands that that are making pads and/or tampons have sizes based on your need. So if you are leaking, there is no shame in that. You are might using a wrong size. Just look at the packages. Most of them have a picture of their different sizes based on how heavy is your periods are.

For example, take a look at this picture.

I am sure there are other ways to not use pads and/or tampons, but I have no knowledge about them.

So yeah….these are the tips that are keeping me alive so far 😂 I hope they works for you as well.

Until next time, stay healthy and happy

K-POP Inspired Nail Art – طرح ناخن به سبک ستاره های کی_پاپ

If you know me, or saw me on Instagram (@sha.ebra); you know I love fresh nails. I literally cannot sleep if my nails looks ugly.

The nail trend in South Korea is different from the United States. That includes the quality and design.

I visited South Korea before, but I only got a regular manicure and that was not different from any other places. On my third visit to South Korea I decided to treat myself and go out of my comfort zone (by that I mean go crazy 😝).

The prices are based on the locations and the nail art designs. The average price is around $50 to $120. Long story short I found a place called “Pretty Nail” you can find them on Instagram @prettynail_294.4147 – They are located in Suwon, South Korea.

The designed I picked was for $59, but because I changed the design a bit, they charged me $5 more (total $64).

It is around one week that I got my nails done, and I think I can give you guys my honest review.

At first, I was really worried to pay this amount of money for my nails and after few days the rhinestones fall down; but they did a good job on securing the rhinestones with a thick gel top coat. I don’t think they are going fall off anytime soon😅.

I am writing this blog after a week I got my nails done. My nails still look nice and fresh. If you are going to visit South Korea, made sure to put the Korean nail salon on your list because you are going to love it.
